Personality
Roland is a pretty cut and dry kind of guy. He tried his best to get along with most people however some times it does not work so well. He can be a bit aggressive about those that he cares about. Which in his vision, there are not a lot. In most cases he plays well with others, however if he thinks that something should go one way he will voice himself about it. Then there is the fun side of Roland that most like. When he parties, he parties. In that mode he is a wonder to be around there is just no question about it. Through and through he is a trustworthy and loyal person, would do anything for someone, however break that trust and you have lost a friend.

Roland Hawke has lived in Valhaven for most of his life. While he was born there and spent most of his childhood there, it was no big secret that when his sister came along that things were changing. He loved his family and his annoying little sister, as she grew up there it was clear that she was the prize. Not that he minded however, it was just an excuse for him to get out of the house. When he was eighteen they moved away from Valhaven Colorado. All the way to east coast of Rhode Island. A tiny little state that was just as lively.
Charlotte and himself were growing up, though Charlotte more so. She was the first to move out. While she had seemingly met the love of her live. Roland had never taken to him all that well. Something just did not sit right about the man. He had tried to tell his sister, but who was he to break up something like that. She never listened to him anyway. It was not long though that he had decided to move back to Valhaven. Not that he had been gone all that long anyway.
With a two year school degree in computer science he pressed his luck back in his hometown. A long shot from Charlotte's multiple studies in medical sciences. He got a job working in the university as a technical specialist. There was something about computers that he just liked and nothing could change that. In all of this time the only people that wanted anything to do with him were his parents. Though with time came age and with age came death. It was just one of those things.
He lost most contact with his sister, for his parents were their bridge. Even with her daughter. Though he loved the kid to death and then he got that call. All this time later, her husband had proved to be the prick that he was. Now she was starting to have problems of her own. Roland had no issues letting his niece come and live with him, the family to messed up as it was and he would not turn her away.
