<3. @kallie words: #### | Kinsly kicked off her shoes and set down the glasses on the table walling around the coffee table careful to avoid hitting her knee on it for the millionth time. She turned on the television and walked to the kitchen to acquire the key ingredient for tonight. She had been so busy settling in she had hardly had a chance to talk to Kallie and had so much to catch up on with her bestie. She had so much she had to gush over and knew she could not keep it in for much longer.
Her hair was tied up in a messy bun and an over sized navy knit sweat hung off one shoulder. She wore a pair of comfortable shorts. She was at home in the manor and relaxed. She was not blood related to the Mottes but that hardly seemed to matter to them. She grabbed two bottles of wine dancing into the living room on her toes to the music coming from the television setting them on the table. She popped a piece of popcorn in her mouth from the large bowl on the table.
"Kallie!!" she said loudly not sure where in the manor she was but she was ready for some girl time. She opened up her phone to text her. She nibbled on her thumb nail as she sent a text to her best friend before plopping down on the couch.

Let's have some real talk With the cafe opening and all the work that needed to be done on the house, it wasn’t surprising Kallie and Kinsly hadn’t found much time to hang out together. Her first real day off which had somehow aligned with her bestie also getting a free day. Kallie couldn’t think of anything better than resting up at home and spending it in good company. Headphones in she hung out on her bed texting away. Silly faces to a certain someone. It had started to become a recurring thing for her to message Valen.
Her screen flashing up to say she’d received a message from Kinsly. Kallie flicked it open and grinned some more. Her hair tied back the wound on her neck had almost completely healed by now. Wearing a baggy jumper with her favorite sweatpants she crawled out of bed to wander through the large house to the living room. Most of the house still had lots to work on, but it was livable. Rion had been doing a great job keeping busy. “You summoned me?” She grinned, spotting the brunette on the sofa.
Flopping down in the free space beside her Kallie raised her legs up to rest on Kinsly. Spotting the wine and the popcorn her smile widened. “God you read my mind! A much needed night in I think!” She spoke excitedly, looking forward to gossiping with her long time friend about the discoveries they’ve made of the town.

<3. words: #### | Kinsly was comfortably positioned on the couch when Kallie entered the room her face lighting up. "I did!" she said gesturing to the grand feast she had for them. Really it was popcorn and wine but what more would they need. "I have procured us some wine." she said watching her friend as she plopped down on the couch putting her feet on her lap her own legs propping up on the coffee table. Yes this was exactly what the werwolf needed some girl time. She felt like it had been to long since she had relaxed with Kallie.
"Yeeeees I have missed you." she said looking to Kallie a small playful pout on her lips. This was probably the most relaxed the wolf had been all week. But she was more open and at ease around Kallisto. "Now pick a bottle of wine and lets spill." she said excited to hear what was up with her friend. She had a few questions for the blonde herself but knew if she started she would just spill everything so she would wait her turn. Holding her tongue was not easy but something she could do.

Let's have some real talk Kallie made herself comfortable with her legs thrown over Kinsly. The pair had been friends for a good ten years or so now. Kallie knew she trusted the brunette with her life. Very little stayed a secret between the two, some things maybe but Kallie was a terrible liar when it came to her bestie. “I can’t think of a better way to spend my day off” she sighed happily, reaching out to grab one of the bottles of wine for herself.
Opening up a wine and pouring herself a large glass she mulled over what to talk about first. “Well I’m not wanting to jinx it just yet but if the cafe keeps going like it is, it’ll be really profitable.” She spoke with a smile, Kallie was so proud with how far they’d all come. “Hired some more help, you might have met them. Mari and Max?” Kallie tried to have at least 2 people on shift at a time but with training up the newbies she wasn’t sure if Kinsly had crossed paths with them yet or not. “What about you? Plan for college still ongoing?”

<3. words: #### | Kinsly was at ease around Kallie the pair got on almost like sister minus the drunken make out back in the day. It had only happened once as far as she recalled but had made for an epic night. They knew how to have fun and blow off steam together. "I know right! I am a genius. Thanks for giving me the same day off boss lady." she said with a wink at her. Technically it was fate cause her second job could have scheduled her but thankfully it was not a busy day at the bar. Ah! She was so excited to tell Kallie all about it. She moved to grab the other bottle opening it up pouring herself a glass while keeping her friend legs on her. She leaned back on the couch with a nice big glass of wine a smile on her lips. Yes this was perfect.
She smirked at the mention of the cafe nodding her head and then letting out a sigh at the mention of the new hires. She knew there would be new locals but one of them was a damn vampire. "Yeah...I met Max." she said taking a large sip of wine. "He is....something." she said already having a well formed opinion of the vampire. "I have to admit I've been a bit of a bitch to him." she said being honest with Kallie. "Not enough to scare him away but that boy her is...he needs some help." she said shaking her head. "I have yet to meet this Mari....is she a vampire to?" she asked honestly curious. It seemed this small town was full of the supernatural. She scrunched her nose when Kallisto asked about college and sighed. "Yeah..." she trailed off taking another sip of wine. "Its just more exspensive and payment plans are....well I need more money. So I got a second job." she said with a small shrug of her shoulders. "I can't go yet but I am going to save up. I work at the bar now for this Valen guy who seems cool but he makes my skin crawl." she said hinting at the fact he was a demon.

Let's have some real talk Kallie loved her family, they were her everything. Most of her life had revolved around them, anytime she’d moved she’d gone with them. She’s never really entertained the idea of going off on her own. Maybe some of the others had but Kallie stuck around and felt Rion needed her there. Kinsly had quickly become one of their family. Whenever family was brought up Kallie always had Kinsly in mind too. “You’ve been kicking ass at the cafe, you need the day off too” she nodded firmly. Kallie needed no thanks for that, she was just glad Kin had no other plans that night so they could get some quality time in.
Tending to her glass of wine Kallie could hear the small sigh loud as day. Kinsly was a lot more guarded which Kallie couldn’t fault her for. “Yeah I know what you mean. I wasn’t sure at first, but he’s doing okay.” Kallies head flopped back into the cushion of the couch with a more deflated sigh upon hearing Kinsly was rather mean. “Please try to be nice with him. I don’t think that whole scared thing he has going on is an act. I think he’s legitimately terrified of everything.” She scowled a little at her friend, Kallie knew Kinsly had her own reservations when it came to other supernaturals. It was unrealistic to think they would have been the only ones in town, Kallie really wanted to try and get everyone co-existing with other supernaturals. It was the only way they could make this work. “Mari is human as far as I can tell. Her uncle is that rich dude that lives alone in that boathouse by the lake or something. She’s only recently moved here herself. Word gets around fast in this town.” Coffee shops were a great place for people to gossip it seemed. On a slow day Kallie was able to pick up all sorts with her heightened sense of hearing.
Kallie sipped her wine and gave Kinsly a sad look upon hearing about how much more difficult getting into schooling would be. She’d never had that dream but she really wanted Kinsly to go for it. “Smart move on a second job. If you need more hours in the cafe, or really anything… let me know” Kallie tried to word herself carefully. Offering to help fund Kinsly’s dream would have been met with resistance. She knew Kinsly wanted to do this one on her own to prove something to herself. Kallie could only stand by and support her however she wanted it. As soon as Valen was mentioned she lit up some. “I can’t believe you’re working for Valen… have fun with that” she giggled to herself and drank some more wine. “I’ve ran into him a couple of times now, as far as demons go he’s a pretty decent one” Her grin gave away any subtle attempt at downplaying exactly what she thought of him. After their last run in at the bar with the vampire attack, she’d definitely warmed up to him some more. Her hand comes up to scratch around the scab on her neck. She made no attempt to hide it from family, but tried to not make a big deal out of it.

<3. words: #### | Kinsly smiled she was enjoying working at the cafe there was always work to keep you busy even if it was low. Cleaning a machine or concocting your own drink when no one was around. She liked the cafe not to mention the smell of coffee was wonderful she did not mind in the least coming home reeking of it. "Yeah I like working it there its nice." she admitted. She had had her fair share of dead beat jobs growing up from waitressing, to cashier to pickpocket. Working for Kallie was probably her favorite job so far but not one she wanted to make a career out of.
"Yeah....he seems clutzy though." she said not keen on him dropping anything. She listened to Kallie as she spoke looking to the blonde and nodded her head. "I figured that out by the end of our first shift together." she admitted but playing nice with others did not always come easy for her. "Poor guy he is the wimpiest vampire I have met." she admitted being brutally honest. "I will try not to be suuuuch a batch to him." she said planning on still keeping her eyes on the vampire boy. though she did want to know more about his story she was not going to play nice to get it. Not yet at least. "Oh wow." she said listening about Mari. "Rich uncle Hellloooo!: she said wiggling her eyes brows teasingly. "Sugar daddy anyone." she said only kidding of course.
She took a doleful sip of her wine loving the flavor in her mouth. It was not often she kicked back and had a drink but Wine night with Kallie were her favorite time to give in and drink. "Um...I'm fine but I will let you know." she said in regards to KAllie offer for more hours. She did not want to use her friendship to gain favoritism and hours. She would make due how she could she was nowhere near push coming to shove. She was not going to start calling in favor she was determined to do this on her own. She had a bank account now no tin can under her bed. No one was going to steal her dreams away. Kinsly went silent as Kallie face lite up and she commented on this Valen character she worked for. So they had crossed paths a few times it seemed. She pursed her lips but said nothing yet letting her friend finish what she had to say. "Yeah...he has not tried anything....yet." she said shrugging her shoulders. She was not one to trust easily that was very evident. "So how did you meet him?" she asked curiously. "He mentioned the cafe." she said slyly before taking a sip of her wine.
