<3. words: #### | Kinsly walked out of the cafe pulling her dark hair down from its high ponytail. She was off work and ready to head to downtown and to the outskirts of town to relax at home. She had work early tomorrow so she knew she needed her rest. No funny business of going out or staying up late she was going to be a responsible adult. So far she was doing pretty well in balancing the two jobs. She had yet to keel over from exhaustion so that was a good sign. She walked down the street flicking through her phone to see if she had any new emails or updates on next week's schedule. She wan keen to see what day she had of so the brunette could plan something hopefully. Maybe explore this new town a bit more. She had looked around a bit but she was curious to see what more it had to offer. She knew there had to be more.
After all she had yet to give some of the other local shops ago. She kind of assumed in uptown she would not be able to afford to much on the money she was not using to save up for school. She ran a hand through her hair knowing she had one hell of a walk home. She hardly minded in the least she prefered it honestly. She had yet to really fear anything in this town. She also knew hot to defend herself if she needed to not to mention she had a lovely bite. She looked up from her phone glancing around the uptown area as people scurried about. She let out a sigh admiring how peaceful it was here compared to the old town she came from. She looked back to her phone shooting off another text letting Kallie know she was on her way home and if she did not show up in an hour she was kicking someone's ass. She smirked at her humor cause she thought she was funny at least.
Then she ran right smack into someone and hard her phone falling right out of her hands and onto the cement ground. She grunted in upset her temper immediately flaring. "Excuse you." she grunted even it it was probably her fault . She did not always see logic when initially pissed.

Hunter was really starting to like it here. It was a lot different than Denver, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He found the whole 'small town' vibe to be rather relaxing, appealing if anything and he was eager to see the rest of this place, get acquainted with his job and hopefully start meeting some new people – having Erica here was good for that, she likely knew tons of people. It was nice to be around family, but also have enough independence now that they thought of Hunter as a full grown adult, not needing anyone to hold his hand – not that he had ever before – but that would never stop the worrying of his folks. It was heartwarming, sure, but he also needed some space. Space Valhaven provided for him.
So he'd gotten to know a lot of the uptown region, not too far from downtown, only a short walking distance really, but you could see the difference in how everything was built, the structure, it just screamed...well...night and day. He hadn't started work yet, and likely wouldn't until the next semester started, so Hunter had ample time to really get to know the area, get a taste for what Valhaven was really like before jumping into a career here. Next stop was heading downtown, see what that all had to offer. If he had to guess it was likely a series of some restaurants, a bar or two, the usual night life and entertainment scene, and while that wouldn't prove to be very useful in broad daylight hours like now...it'd at least give him an idea of where he might want to go once the nightlife crowd did emerge from their homes and jobs. If it held any real interest to him at the time.
Rounding a corner, hands in his pockets, Hunter caught the sight of the small cafe across the road where he had found Erica, and while slightly distracted...he hadn't noticed the other body heading in his general direction. Or right at him, apparently. Colliding hard with another being, Hunter stumbled back slightly, but not enough to land him on his ass before his blue eyes sought out the person he had just ran into. He had heard the sound of a phone clattering to the sidewalk and while he wanted to apologize, the somewhat rude and agitated tone he got from the brunette before him was enough to turn that politeness dial completely off. A small huff escaped his own lips as he straightened out his shirt. “Excuse me? How about excuse you?” He was real blunt with his tone, not wanting to sugar coat it as he got a better look at the brunette...she looked awfully familiar. It hit him like a truck as soon as he remembered where he had seen that face before, if only briefly...somewhat.
Furrowing his eyebrows, really taking in the girl's features, he did look quite as huffy as he started to speak again, still blunt in tone, but it wasn't harsh, it was just how he was. Very straight to the point. “It's you...you're alright? When you stopped messaging I was sure that...thing got a hold of you again...” He wondered if she would even remember him, how he had stepped in, shot that demon and tended to her wound as best as he could without some severe magic usage. “Of all the places...is this where you've been ever since?” Hunter asked more curiously than he ever liked to let on, but he had been a bit worried about Kinsly since she left before, and while he didn't know her at all, he couldn't help but hold that concern up until now, even if it was just a brief thought once in awhile of 'I wonder what happened to her'.

<3. words: #### | Kinsly did not even look at the person she had ran into her first concern was her phone it was a refurbished phone and she knew if it was cracked she would not have the money on hand to fix it yet. She squatted down picking it up slowly straightening up flipping it over looking at the screen. When the male spoke she almost flicked him off. She was not in the mood right now. Her phone was hurt and she was not happy about it. She looked up at him her tongue lashing out right away. "I don't think I stuttered." she said pissed about her phone and taking it out on this poor stranger. "Thanks to you I have a shattered screen." she said illogically putting all the blame on him.
She looked down with concern at her phone unlocking the screen to see how bad it was. but his words pulled her attention away he seemed to know her. She slowly looked up at him tilting her head slightly to the side taking a small step back thinking he was a mad man. But as her hazel eyes drank in his face and he went on speaking her brain started to recall him. She shifted on her feet straightening up a bit she ran a hand through her dark tousles of hair to gain some semblance of calm. "I...uhhh..." she had gotten herself kicked out of home short after that and lost her phone cause living on the street made money hard to come by. but she was not about to fill him in on her sob story. "No, I never saw him again thanks." she said with a small nod of her head. "Had some crazy stuff happen no phone for awhile sorry." she said feeling bad for having never gotten back to him. "No actually just moved here well recently been her a short while. What about you?" she said feeling rather strange.
It was odd seeing his face again she had tried her best to block out that night from her memory. Those man's eyes and ulch yep hates demons. She had no idea at the time what he was or even what she was but thanks to that demon her curse had been triggered. She owed this man her life she knew that. "Sorry for not...replying." she said wavering her phone. "Life just...take you by surprise you know." she said rocking on her feet mulling over hom much detail she wanted to share deciding that was enough. Vague was better.
