ADRIAN GRIFFITHS
FACE CLAIM: GARRETT HEDLUND
Twenty-eight Male Werewolf Unemployed Heterosexual ; Single |
Personality
Adrian is typically quite mellow most of the time, being relatively laid back in his approach to some things in life. This includes the way that he speaks to and interacts with others, at least for the most part. If approached, the werewolf may come across as initially a little standoffish but this is something that has developed over the years due to his past. If found to be in a good or relaxed mood, Adrian's company can be quite pleasant. He lives the lifestyle of a loner most of the time, partially through choice, but he isn't against interacting with others or making friends - he just sometimes finds it a little difficult.
The cold hand that life has dealt him, has left Adrian with some mental scars as well as physical. On one hand, he does crave interactions with other werewolves, or even humans, but on the other hand he's kept his distance for so long that it grows relatively difficult to form meaningful relationships. Short interactions are often pleasant unless he's in an awful mood, as he does display the aforementioned somewhat mellow appearance, but hidden behind his self-built walls, he misses being part of a family. For this willing to make the effort to get past his walls, Adrian is an extremely loyal individual with people that he does manage to form relationships and bonds with, so if you become his friend, you'll likely be for life. Those that end up on his bad side, however, will be hard-pressed to be removed from it as he is relatively stubborn.

- Leon Arenson (family friend/father figure, alive)
Adrian's story started off as quite a simple one - he was a part of a moderately-sized pack and born to two members of said pack. The pack itself was his family unit, and they had been around for quite some time. Both the pack and their standing rivals, a local clan of vampires, had been in the area for a long time, and had numerous altercations that had resulted in casualties. For the most part, Adrian's childhood was typical for that of a born werewolf within his pack. It was a modest life, with his parents making a modest living. With a solid support system within the pack, he was not left wanting when it came to guidance as he was taught to control his more animalistic urges and reactions, as well as being taught to keep control of himself so he didn't unexpectedly change.
Being home-schooled, Adrian never had many chances to interact with other children outside of others within the pack itself. The pack, his family, was his entire world and he loved all of them dearly. He was surrounded by love and praise as he was guided through the life of being a werewolf, but despite that happiness, he started to notice it fade at times. When he was twelve, that was when the rivalry between his pack and a local clan of vampires hit a peak. More altercations occurred, with more injuries and lives lost, until both groups had suffered a loss, but the werewolf pack had been smaller to begin with. They were weakened now and vulnerable. Adrian was taken to a family friend, Leon Arenson, and left in his care until things blew over - just to be on the safe side, his parents said.
According to what Adrian was told, the attack came suddenly. It hadn't been easy news for Leon to break, that the entirety of the rest of the pack had been killed, including Adrian's parents. He had been distraught and understandably so. Since he was still a child, he wasn't given full details, but he didn't need them. His mind supplied all the missing details and images for him, as he frequently started to have nightmares. The boy had already had a dislike of vampires, but that grew into a burning hatred that only continued to grow the more he was tormented by his mind and the more he thought about what had happened. For a time, he became a trouble child and Leon did his best to care for and guide the boy but it had varying levels of effectiveness. Picking fights, getting involved in fights, or spending long periods of time at once in his wolf form, away from Leon's home.
Adrian had a little more sense knocked into him when he was eighteen, and he eventually caught the trail of a vampire from the very same clan that had killed his parents. He had followed, and there had been an altercation which he ultimately won. However, as caught up in the fight as he had been, he hadn't realised that a few more vampires had been close-by. Weakened from the previous altercation, Adrian wasn't likely to escape with his life. It was only the timely interruption of Leon that saved his life, killing the vampires and getting Adrian to safety. All that Adrian had been feeling, from rage and anger to sadness and despair at the loss of his parents and pack, it had all manifested and driven him to be something he wasn't. However, nearly losing his life had put him just a little more on the right track.
Leon decided then that it was time for them to move. He had already been a decent distance from the aforementioned clan of vampires, but they would both feel better with even more distance put in there. The two packed things up and moved about halfway across the country, starting up a new life elsewhere. Adrian shakily gained a hold of himself once more as he was healing, and though he grew up some more, there still remained a want for revenge lingering at the back of his mind. It would always be there, as would the now deep-rooted hatred of vampires. Settling into this new life, Adrian tried to slip into society as easily as he could - which was to say, not very. He got by, picking up work where he could and eventually he would part ways with Leon. The two still kept in touch, but Adrian started to travel more, to see more of the country.
To this day, Adrian is still shaken by his loss, and as such has never openly sought any other pack or group to belong to. He has Leon to rely on, but that is about it. His travels took him far and wide, and now more recently into Valhaven. What the town may hold in store for him, only time would tell.
