Personality
As level-headed and down to earth as Kallie is, she is also not one to be messed with. She’s a member of the Dawnstone pack along with her siblings, lead by her oldest brother. Kallie is often the one to play peacekeeper between her family members. Being hard to temper and thinking before acting made her the most logical choice for that role. Her family butt heads and bicker more often than not. Even with their fights, they still somehow manage to stick together.
She’s often perceived as reserved and polite to an outsider, Kallie isn’t one to draw attention to herself. Those that know her understand she’s usually just observing and planning her next move. Kallie feels the need to be one step ahead of others. While her brother might be the alpha, she’s usually the one navigating the pack with his approval. Kallie knows her place within the pack and has a good relationship with her Alpha. She’s made a good second in command for him. Before moving to Valhaven they never really stayed in a place for more than a few months at a time. Kallie had found the quiet town, maybe it was time they found a place to really settle down for good.

Kallie has known of her lycanthropy curse since she was a small child. It runs through her family's blood, and as the family grew her parents did what they could to educate them on what it means to be a werewolf. Her family was also her pack. They would need to stick together to face what life threw at them. Kallie being the second oldest meant she often took to caring for the younger ones. It was very natural for Kallie to nurture. She’d always wanted to be a doctor as a child.
Her childhood wasn’t always enjoyable. Her family were in conflict with another pack, the Alcoves. They hunted one another during each full moon. The struggle between the two families had gone back generations. According to history they once did live peacefully alongside one another. Then during the change of a young Alcove member they had torn apart a few younger members of the Dawnstar pack and the rivalry grew from there. It started as a fight over territory, then simply grew into hunting one another down to wipe out the pack entirely. With a growing family her parents decided it was best to leave and keep moving. The fight was never theirs.
Kallie hadn’t been aware of any of this until her teens when she went through the changes herself. Her baby brother was just a toddler when her family were hunted once more. No matter where they went they were always found. Only Kallie and her older brother had triggered the curse, they were both still young and untrained for these kinds of combats. Instead they were made to flee with their younger siblings. Their parents stayed behind to ensure they would survive.
Since then they’ve always been moving, keeping one step ahead. They picked up a few other werewolves which have became a part of their pack. Kallie’s best friend was one of them. Over the years the pack had made mistakes and gotten sloppy, gotten into a couple of clashes with Alcove members. Overall they’ve been able to stay under the radar. Though constantly moving was hard on the family, especially those that were too young to remember. Kallie was the one to convince their alpha to find a quiet place to settle down. A place for them to make their last stand if need be. Valhaven became their new home.
Between the family they had enough to purchase a house with plenty of land in a wooded area for themselves just outside of town. It was derelict, but her older brother has assured them it’ll be a good fixer upper (To the distaste of some of her siblings). It was home. Kallie had her own savings put aside, which she’d used to purchase one of the old worn out buildings in town. Over the past couple of months it’s been under renovation to be turned into a rather quaint cafe. The rustic features have been enough to attract the townspeople into its doors. With the cafe seemingly kicking off to a good start, Kallie has some hope this means the same thing for her family in this town.
