At first Kallie thought nothing of it when she’d spotted trash being removed from the dumpster and sprawled out across the alley behind her cafe. It could have just been animals getting into the food she’d thrown out. It wasn’t until she added a lock one night and that was broken off had she started to take notice. The lock wasn’t something an animal could have broken. It needed to be someone.
So she’d started to take more care of the times she’d take out the trash and keep a note of when the garbage would get raided. Closing up the shop she locked the front door and flipped the sign. Usually she’d get on with cleaning but going against routine she decided to check out back first. Stepping out into the alley she spotted the large dumpster and made her way towards it as quietly as she could. Yanking the lid open she yelled out to surprise the intruder, “Gotcha!”
